Maruti December sales up by 23.7 per cent
New Delhi, Jan 1: Maruti, country's largest car maker, today said it has sold 56,985 vehicles in December, 2006, posting a 23.7 per cent increase over the corresponding period last year.
The company posted 26.3 per cent increase in domestic sales with 54,640 vehicles, but company's exports declined by 17.1 per cent at 2,345 units in December 2006 in comparison to 2,828 units sold during the same period last year, a statement issued here said.
Maruti's volume in the domestic A2 segment went up by 35.6 per cent and grew by 40.6 per cent in C segment during the month compared to sales in December 2005.
