Haryana declares 500 villages as model villages

Bhiwani , Jan 1 (UNI) The Haryana government has declared more than 500 villages as model villages.

Adequate funds would be provided to improve health, educational and sports facilities in these villages, Haryana Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharambir Singh said here today.

He said the state government has implemented a number of schemes for the welfare of all sections of the society under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. A number of steps were being taken to promote sports so as to channelise the energies of the youth.

He also gave financial assistance under Indira Gandhi Priyadarshni Vivah Shagun Yojna and insurance scheme being implemented by the state government among the women, victims of accidents and orphan children.
