CPI town committee demands free gas stoves

Puducherry, Jan 1 (UNI) The town committee of the CPI today urged the territorial administration to take immediate steps to provide free gas stoves to all those who avail the benefit of ten kg of free rice.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at 20th town committee conference of the party here today.

Resolutions uring the administration to re-auction the Dubrayapet arrack shop, initiate stringent action against those who sell banned lottery tickets here were among the resolutions adopted in the conference.

Mr B Anand was re-elected as town committee secretary in the conference while the committee was reconstituted with 13 new members.
