UP govt orders high-level probe into Noida's serial killer case

Lucknow, Dec 31 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government today ordered a a high-level inquiry into the recovery of skulls of children allegedly killed by a serial killer in Noida.

Secretary (Home) R M Srivastava said the two-member committee comprises Secretary (Home) Arun Kumar Sinha and Lucknow ADGP (Law and Order) Amrish Chandra Sharma, which would hand over the report to the state government within three days.

The Committee would reach Noida tommorow to investigate into the case.

Earlier, the UP government announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the family members of the children and women who were brutally killed by the seriel killer in Noida.

Seventeen skeletal remains had been detected, of which 10 had been identified either through photo identification by the killer or through clothes and belongings by the victims' relatives.

Surendra, the main serial killer had admitted yesterday that he had assaulted and killed nine children and six women.
