Stampede in Tirumala on the eve of Vaikunta Ekadasi

Tirumala (Andhra Pradesh), Dec 31: A large number of devotees thronged the temple and heavy rush was witnessed on the occasion of 'Vaikunta Ekadasi', here today.

Minor stampede took place in Vaikunta queue complex. More than fifteen pilgrims were injured in the stampede.

Some of the injured were admitted to the local hospital.

Some devotees alleged that Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam(TTD) Chairman B Karunakar Reddy's poor arrangement for the occasion was the reason behind the stampede.
