Bulandshahr, Dec 31 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Primary Education Minister Kiran Pal Singh today refutted all charges that he was involved in the murder of Meerut University's ad hoc lecturer Dr Kavita Rani Chaudhary and asserted he would not resign from his post.

''I swear I am innocent and its just a conspiracy hatched against me by media and some vested forces. I will write to President A P J Abdul Kalam, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and AICC President Sonia Gandhi and UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav demanding a high level probe into the case,'' he said, addressing a rally here.

''I believe in the court of people and that is the reason why I organised a rally. No one can befool people and I leave upto the people whether they want to believe whatever 'rubbish' a killer Ravindra Pradhan is uttering or me, who is completely innocent,'' Mr Singh maintained.

Dr Kavita Rani -- an ad hoc lecturer at the Lalit Kala Department of the Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut had been missing since last week of October. On December 25, police confirmed that she was dead.

The main accused Ravindra Pradhan had surrendered before a news channel in Noida.

On interrogation, Ravindra alleged Kavita had intimate relations with some UP ministers, and claimed she used to prepare their pornographic CDs and blackmail them. She had prepared CDs of some ministers and managed to get Rs 35 lakh from them.

Mystery behind Kavita's killing turned murkier after her cell phone details and letters proved her proximity with the two UP ministers Kiran Pal Singh and former Irrigation Minister Merajuddin -- both in the Mulayam Cabinet from RLD quota.
