Panaji, Dec 31 (UNI) Goa Governor S C Jamir and Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane have extended warm greetings to the people of Goa, specially to the Muslims on the occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha.

The Governor in his message said Id-Ul Zuha is symbolic of the supreme sacrifice and submuission to the will of God. All religions preach love, compassion, charity and peace, and it should be our endeavour to promote these ideals and make this world a happy home for everyone.

The Chief Minister in his message said that Id-Ul Zuha reminds of sacrifice to the Almighty. ''Every religion preaches love and compassion and it should be endeavour of all of us to act and behave within the frame work of true tenets of religion,'' he added.

Let us on this occasion re-dedicate ourselves to maintain the rich tradition of peace and communal harmony in the state, Mr Rane added.
