Ajmer, Dec 31 (UNI) Blame it on the feud between the priests and the management of the Brahma temple in Pushkar, Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai's visit to the famous temple attracted one controversy after another.

The priests performed a ''Sadbuddhi'' yagna and washed the temple with ''Gangajal'' to purify the premises after her visit.

Priests of the only temple dedicated to Brahma in the world had on Thursday alleged that one of the three security guards who accompanied her inside was ''drunk''.

Rai, however, had rejected the allegations, saying there was no truth to them. As the doe-eyed actress was leaving, her securitymen also got into a small scuffle with journalists. Earlier, she had paid obeisance at the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah here.

The priests were also ''disappointed'' with the former Miss World by the way she performed puja at the Brahma temple, ''ignoring'' to pay a visit to the sacred ''Pushkar Sarovar''.

The discord between the temple management and the presiding priests came to the fore when almost an year ago it was alleged that the Mahant (chief priest) of the temple had a affair with a women living on the temple premises and liquor bottles were allegedly recovered from the temple.

The two parties were again involved in a face-off over the issue of keeping the temple open to the public during Solar eclipse.

The ''purification'' of the temple was done by Priest Association president Laddoo Ram Sharma among others yesterday. They also performed a ''Sadbuddhi Yagna'' for her.

Mr Sharma said unless the Bollywood star tenders an apology their protest will continue and a meeting of the association will be called soon to discuss the future course of action.
