Etawah, Dec 31 (UNI) A case was registered against four police personnel, including a former station officer, on the instructions of a local court.

The court passed the order on an application by one Mahendra Singh Yadav who had alleged the then station officer (Bakevar) Ramesh Chandra Sharma and three constables had forced him to bribe them near Etawah on August 25, 2005.

He also alleged that when he refused to bribe them, the cops thrashed him and snatched his watch and cash he was carrying at the moment.

Yadav had alleged the police of being hand-in-glove with the accused. He had met SSP but no action was taken against them.

A case of loot was registered against the accused yesterday, after a local court gave the orders.
