Wide spread condemnation for execution of Saddam

Patna, Dec 30 (UNI) Dubbing as "barbaric" hanging of former Iraq President Saddam Hussain, Left parties and Muslim organisations today held demonstrations across the state and burnt effigy of US President George Bush.

While condemning the execution, senior CPI(ML) leader K D Yadav described it as "US hegemony with scant regard for sovereignity and laws of the other countries." ''Our party demands immediate withdrawal of the US forces from all parts of the world including Afghanistan and Iraq,'' Mr Yadav,a member of central committee of the party, said.

He said that US President George Bush should be hanged for the killings of thousands of people during the bombing by US forces in Iraq during the gulf war.

''The entire process of the trial conducted for Saddam was engulfed with controversies as judges were changed several times while the judge, who ordered for execution of former Iraqi president, was a rubber stamp of the United States of America,'' he maintained.

State Committee of the CPI(M) condemned the incident and desribed it as the "hegemony of imperial forces led by US".

The execution of Saddam would lead to upsurge of hatred aginst US among the people of Arab'' the party said adding even people of Iraq would revolt against the puppet government istalled there by US.

All India United Muslim Morcha, described it "Bushism", which was far ahead in cruelty and hatred against mankind than that of 'Hitlarism' which had reigned terror during the second world war.

The president of the morcha Dr Ejaj Ali called upon the common man and intelligentsia to formulate the strategy to contain the ugly head of 'Bushism' otherwise it would soom bring dooms day for entire mankind.

Samajwdi Party, Nationalist Congress Party and Socialist Unity Centre of India also condemned the hanging of Saddam Hussain.

Reports of protest against the execution of former Iraq president Saddam Hussain had also been receieved from different parts of the state.
