Vigilance sleuths arrest DFO in bribery case
Patna, Dec 30 (UNI) State Vigilance Bureau sleuths today cought Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Gopalganj Suresh Kumar and his clerk red handed, while they were accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 from an owner of a saw mill at their office.
Vigilance sleuths recovered also Rs 33,400 from the possession of the forest officer during search operation.
Additional director general of police (ADG), Vigilance Bureau Neelmani said that Mr Kumar and the clerk Ram Narsh Paswan were demanding the cash from Mohammad Hasimuddin for renewal of license of his saw mill.
Both the arrested forest personnel were being brought here for interrogation, he said.
