Vehicle gang arrested
Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 30 (UNI) The Central Crime Station (CCS) police personnel today busted an inter-district gang that had been lifting vehicles and seized Maruti cars, tractors and two wheelers, all worth Rs 24 lakh.
Addressing a press conference here, District Superintendent of Police Soumya Mishra said the police arrested Merugu Sandeep, an ITI student, Poleboina Gopi, a BSc final year student both belonging to Pasra village of Govindaraopet mandal and another Kola Balaraju, a tractor mechanic at Modubaigudem in Nalgonda district.
Earlier, the police arrested G Gangaraju of West Godavari district who was charged with theft of tractors. Following his confession during interrogation, the police investigated further and arrested the other members. Police also recovered two Maruti cars, four tractors, five trailors and seven motorbikes.
Cases were registered against them in various police stations in Warangal and Nalgonda districts.
