UP Govt condemns Saddam hanging

Lucknow, Dec 30 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government today criticised the death sentence of ousted Iraqi leader Sadam Hussein while condemning the attitude of the United States on the issues.

''It is not a punishment but a murder,''UP Revenue Minister Ambika Chaudhry told newsmen.

Coming down heavily on the US government, he said the White House had committed a crime by hanging Saddam and it had no moral right to do so.

The United States had termed Iraqi leader 'killer' of innocent people but what it had done in Vietnam and other places was knwon to whole world, he added.

'Ther Samajwadi Party and the Samajwadi Party-led Uttar Pradesh government strongly condemn the hanging of saddam Hussein,''the senior UP Minister said.
