Tricolour hoisted upside down in Andaman on Historic Day

Port Blair, Dec 30 (UNI) On the historic day of December 30,the new Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lt Gen (Redt) Bhopinder Singh today hoisted the national flag in Port Blair, which was later found upside down, officials confirmed.

On December 30 in 1943 Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose had hoisted the National Flag of India for the first time at Port Blair declaring the islands, the first Indian territory, to be free from British yoke.
