Sexual assault accused tonsured

Guna (MP), Dec 30: Incensed over an attempt to sexually assault a Bhil woman at this district's Kankriapura, her kin and other villagers beat up the accused, tonsured him and then handed him over to the police.

When Rammurti Bai was asleep at her residence on Thursday night, Roop Singh entered by opening the door and then tried to sexually assault her, the police said yesterday.

After the victim raised the alarm, her relatives and neighbours woke up.

Earlier this year, tension prevailed after the alleged rape a Bhil at this district's Konyakala.
