Second deep pit inaugurated at Kolkata terminal

Kolkata, Dec 30: Eastern Railway General Manager S S Khurana inaugurated the second deep pit and coaching depot at Kolkata passenger terminal.

This deep pit and coaching depot will improve coach maintenance facilities and enable Eastern Railway to run more trains from Kolkata station.

Construction of this deep pit started on March 8.

This 585 mt-long pit with a catwalk of same measurement had been constructed at a total cost of Rs 2.84 crore.
