Retiring DGP expresses willingness to take up challenging job
Hyderabad, Dec 30 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Swaranjeet Sen, who is retiring from the service tomorrow, today said he was ready to accept any challenging job offered by the government.
He also expressed concern over increasing political interference in all government departments including the police department.
He said the police would continue combing operations even as the naxal violence had reduced drastically in the state.
Mr Sen said though four ISI agents were held from the city, the police could not assess the ISI's presence in the city.
''There is a need to upgrade the intelligence department,'' he added.
The number of complaints against Circle Inspectors and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSPs) in the state were on the rise, he said.
