Reliance Energy to ink MoU for CBM plant

Bhopal, Dec 30: Reliance Energy will ink a memorandum of understanding in January 2007 with the Madhya Pradesh government for setting up a coal-based methane plant at Shahdol, said the state's Commerce and Industry Minister Babulal Gaur.

The statement was made yesterday at Ahmedabad after discussions with Reliance officials at an investors' summit organised by the Madhya Pradesh government and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Among those present were Reliance Madhya Pradesh Coordinator Faheem Ansari and Jamnagar's Reliance Refinery Chairman S C Malhotra. Mr Gaur invited the investors to a convention scheduled at Khajuraho on January 16 and 17.
