Nirmala Deshpande demands complete detail on Parliament attack
Bangalore, Dec 30 (UNI) Rajya Sabha member Nirmala Deshpande today demanded that facts about the December 13 Parliament attack for which death sentence had been slapped on Mohammed Afzal should be made public.
Talking to newsmen here, she said that ''the country has the right to know the facts about the atack as there are many questions raised as to who were behind the attack and lapses on the part of security''.
Ms Deshpande, who heads an independent and private initiative- Committee for Inquiry on the December 13 attack, said that the a report would be submitted to the Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee and the issue would be raised during the Budget session of the Parliament.
She said that Supreme Court Advocate Ms Indira Jai Singh has filed a Curative petition as the verdict had stated that Md Azfal was not involved in the incident.
