Moderate quake hits Gulf of Aden region

New Delhi, Dec 30 (UNI) A quake of moderate intensity, measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale, hit the Gulf of Aden region this afternoon.

The quake, epicentered at 12.9 degrees N latitude and 51.5 degrees E longitude, occured at 1401 hours, the India Meteorological Department said.

There was no report of any casualities.
