Major fire in godown

Kochi, Dec 30 (UNI) A major fire broke out in a paintS godown here this morning causing heavy damage.

According to a fire department official, the fire broke out in the godown in the morning and the blaze was under control.

The official said property worth lakhs was destroyed in the inferno.

No casualties were reported.

As many as 12 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the blaze, the official added.

The exact cause of the fire was not known.
