K'aka CM's security officer injured in accident

Tirupati, Dec 30: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy's personal security officer was injured when the Chief Minister's advanced pilot vehicle in which he was travelling, was hit by a lorry, proceeding in the opposite direction on Moglai Goat Road near Palamaneru in Chittor district here today.

Police said the mishap occured when Mr Kumaraswamy's personal security officer L B Gaddi Gowda's vehicle was hit by a lorry going to Bangalore from Chittor. The driver of the pilot vehicle was also injured.

The vehicle was proceeding to Renigunata to receive Mr Kumaraswamy, who would be visiting Tirumala to offer his prayer to Lord Venkateswara in connection with Vaikunta Ekadasi festival tomorrow.

The lorry driver was arrested.

A case has been registered and an investigation was underway, police added.
