Judicial officer dies in road accident

Jehanabad, Dec 30 (UNI) Chief Judicial Magistrate of Jehanabad Vinod Kumar Singh died yesterday in a car accident.

Police said here the accident occurred when the car in which he was travelling, collided head on with a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction near Chandil in neighbouring Jharkhand state.

According to reports, Mr Singh was returning to Patna from Jamshedpur.

The court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate and other courts in Jehanabad district remained closed today after the condolence meeting which was organised to pay homage to the departed judicial officer.
