JD(S) criticises Saddam's execution

''It is time for people from all walks of life to come together to expose the evil designs of the imperalist forces, led by the US,'' JD (S) state president M P Veerendra Kumar, said in a statement.
Accusing the ''puppet'' Iraqi administration for acting on behalf of the US to execute the former President, he noted that Saddam might have committed mistakes, but questioned the '' power of that country to punish him.'' ''If Saddam was executed for the crimes committed by him, won't George Bush and Tony Blair, responsible for the deaths of six lakh innocent people, including women and children, after the forcible occupation of Iraq, deserve any punishment?, sought to know.
