IUML blames UPA Govt on Saddam issue
Kolkata, Dec 30 (UNI) Condemning the execution of Saddam Hussein, Indian Union Muslim League today blamed the UPA Government for its 'failure' in condoning the death of the former Iraqi President.
In a statement, IUML State Committee President Shahanshah Jehangir said Saddam Hussein was executed by the puppet Iraqi Government under US influence that denied him a fair trial and justice.
"The Indian Government did not respond to the cravings of her vast populace of Muslim citizens and use diplomatic pressure on the US to condone the death sentence of Saddam Hussein," he said.
Describing the US and the UK as agreessors, the statement said they had committed a 'scandalous breach of international law".
