Governor Krishna greets people on Bakri Id

Mumbai, Dec 30 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna today greeted the people on the occasion of Bakri Id.

In a release issued by the Raj Bhavan here, the Governor said, ''Bakri Id reminds us of our duty to look beyond ourselves and to care for others, especially for the poor. Festivals like Bakri Id promote the spirit of brotherhood and camaraderie among people.

May the festival inspire us to endeavour steadfastly for promotion of goodness and peace among all sections of our society.'' ''On the joyous occasion of Bakri Id I convey my warm greetings and good wishes to the people,'' the release added.
