Four wounded in Bawaria gang attack

Varanasi, Dec 30: Three people were wounded severly and the eye of another villager was gouged out by the dreaded Bawaria gang, which struck two houses in Lohta area here.

Police said 10 armed assailants belonging to the gang attacked two houses in Kerakatpur village yesterday.

Three people Chandraprakash Shastri, Rakesh and Narsingh suffered severe wounds in the attack, while the criminals gouged out the eye of Bachanu Patel.

The wounded have been admitted at the district hospital, where their condition were stated critical.

Investigations were on, the police said.
