Deccan XI, Parshuramians, Rahul XI, Indrayani make it to main draw

Pune, Dec 30 (UNI) Deccan XI, Parshuramians, Rahul XI, and Indrayani FC today made it to the main draw of the 4th Abhijeet Kadam Memorial All India Invitational Football Tournament-2006.

The tournament, played at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Educational Complex here, is being jointly conducted by the Abhijit Kadam Memorial Foundation (AKMF) and the Deccan XI Football Club, under the aegis of Pune District Football Association (PDFA).

Deccan XI 'A' stream rolled Jolly Range Hills 6-0 , in a one-sided match Parshuramians scraped past Youngsters 5-1 , while Indrayani scraped past Commandos 2-1, Rahul Club ousted Chetak Club 4-2 to enter the main draw.

Prashant Pardesi hattrick saw Deccan XI thrash Jolly Range Hills 6-0. Deccan's Prashant, scored the 3 goals in 5th, 27th and 35th minutes.

Range Hills's Moses Francis got red card because of bad play, with Referee Ajay Chorge awarding penalty to Deccan XI.

Mangesh Padumble made no mistake and scored a goal in 47th minute. Sujay Tambe scored last two goals on the pass of Bharat Shirole in 48th minute and Sujit More in 53rd minute.

In a one-sided match Parshuramians scraped past the Youngsters challenge 5-1. Rohit Ghadge, Newton Perreira, Milind Rane, Abhishek Wakankar and Rahul Ghadge scored goals for the winners. Alvin Ignatius scored the lone a goal for Youngsters.

In the other matches, Krida Prabodhini defeated Sky Hawks 2-1, while Kumar Balkrishanan's couple helped Indrayani scrap past Commandos 2-1 . In the last match of the day, Rahul Club ousted Chetak Club 4-2 Sagar M, Santosh Pillye, Nishant M, Harish Mehara scored for winners. Ruturaj Thakkar and Kabir Manjrekar scored for Chetak.

Deccan XI A, Fatima, Pune Police, Parshuramians, Rahul, Ghorpadi Tamil United, Indrayani, Khadki Blues, KP XI, Thandarcatz are the teams that have made it to the main draw so far.
