Cops suspended after undertrial flees
Chhindwara, MP, Dec 30 (UNI) Three police officials have been suspended after a 24-year-old undertrial inmate escaped from the district jail, the police said.
Mahendra alias Kallu, who hailed from Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur, was arrested about three months back on charges of dacoity and assault. He was accused of offences committed in Raisen district as well. After going to attend a call of nature late last night, Mahendra clambered over the wall and escaped.
The crime came to light in the morning Head constables Sohanlal Dhongre, Babulal Verma and Constable Ashfaq were subjected to the disciplinary action.
