Congress will be to blame if seat-sharing talks fail: Pawar

Mumbai, Dec 30 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar today said that his party will make every effort to forge a conciliatory seat-sharing arrangement with the Congress for the February one Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections.

''We will strive till the last minute to have an appropriate seat-sharing arrangement with the Congress,'' Mr Pawar said speaking to reporters at the party office here today.

Despite the best efforts of the NCP if the talks still fail, then it will only be the Congress which will be to blame, he added.

Yesterday, the NCP and Congress leaders had held a meeting to work out a seat-sharing arrangement for the 227-member BMC. However, the talks had remained inconclusive.
