Clerk convicted in DA case
Bhopal, Dec 30 (UNI) A special court of Gwalior has sentenced municipal corporation clerk Virendra Singh Tomar to one year's rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 in a disproportionate asset case.
The Lokayukta police, during a search of his house in 2002 on a tip-off about possessing assets disproportionate to his income, found that Tomar owned movable and immovable assets worth Rs 24.50 lakh. The challan was presented in March this year and the court delivered its judgement on December 23, official sources said.
