UP denies reducing stamp duty by 5 pc

Lucknow, Dec 29 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government today denied that the stamp duty in state registry had been reduced by five per cent.

Principal secretary, Registration, Preetam Singh denied reports in some newspapers, that stamp duty in registry will be reduced in UP.

The stamp duty in registry will be as prior in the state, he clarified, adding there was no proposal for reducing the stamp duty.
