Trader shot dead aboard roadways bus

Lucknow, Dec 29 (UNI) A trader was shot at point-blank range and robbed of Rs six lakh by miscreants aboard a roadways bus near Tundla in Uttar Pradesh.

The victim Jai Prakash Gupta was rushed to a private hospital in Agra, where he was declared brought dead.

Police said Gupta was going to Agra from Tundla in the bus, when armed miscreants attacked him near Ismat bridge.

Fellow passengers caught one of the criminals, who had fired upon the trader. However, other criminals managed to escape along with the booty.

Meanwhile, police were interrogating the criminal.
