NSD Asst. Director arrested for accepting bribe

Pathanamthitta, Dec 29 (UNI) A Vigilance Police team led by Dy SP C P Gopakumar arrested National Savings Department Assistant Director B Radhakrishnan Nair from his office at the mini-civil station here today while accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from a Mahila Pradhan agent.

The Vigilance team laid the trap and recovered the 'marked' currency notes from the drawer of his table.

The arrested will be produced in the Vigilance Court at Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow.
