Mulayam halts speech during 'azaan'

Faizabad, Dec 29 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today halted his speech twice during 'azaan' (Muslim prayer call).

Mr Yadav was addressing the concluding function of the three-day SP youth wing training camp here this afternoon.

During the 'azaan' calls, Mr Yadav stood in silence and continued with his speech thereafter.

The respect shown by Mr Yadav towards the 'azaan' was a topic of discussion among the people.
