Manish Khatau sent to judicial custody

Mumbai, Dec 29 (UNI) A local court today sent Manish Khatau, son of Khatau Mill owner, to Judicial Custody till tomorrow in a rash and negligent driving case.

The sessions court cancelled his bail.

Manish would be moving the Bombay High Court, challenging cancellation of his bail.

Police Commissioner A N Roy told reporters here this afternoon that Manish was acquitted by the sessions court in a rash driving case, in which a police constable was seriously injured at Nariman point, while he was on duty.

Mr Roy stated that police had challenged his acquittal in the Bombay High Court. Police had moved an application for cancellation of his bail in the Session court, Sewri.
