Manipur Assembly elections to be held in three phases
Imphal, Dec 29 (UNI) Nineteen Assembly segments under Thoubal, Ukhrul and Senapati districts would go to polls in the first phase of Assembly elections in Manipur on February 8.
The second phase on February 15 will witness polling in 29 segments under Imphal West, Imphal East and Bishenpur districts.
In the third phase on February 23 elections would be held in 12 segments under Jiribam of Imphal East, Chandel, Tamenglong and Churachandpur districts.
Counting will take place on February 27.
There are 60 Assembly Constituencies in Manipur of which 19 are reserved for the Scheduled Tribes and one seat is reserved for Scheduled Caste.
The final publication of the electoral rolls in Manipur will be made on March 3 as per draft rolls.
There are 16,87,543 electorate in the state.
