Lt-Gen Sreekumar visits MCTE

Indore, Dec 29 (UNI) Lieutenant-General S P Sreekumar, Signal Officer-in-Chief and Colonel-Commandant of the Corps of Signals, is on a four-day visit to the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) at the Military Headquarters Of War.

In a special 'Sainik Sammelan' held today, the officer addressed all ranks of the MCTE, highlighted the Corps' achievements and emphasised on the importance of communication in modern warfare.

''Every soldier should keep himself abreast of technological advances and find a balance between his personal and professional life,'' Lt-Gen Sreekumar said while highlighting the cases of stress-related incidents in the Army and the need to counter this challenge.

In a separate address to the officers, he emphasised on the need to be more involved with the troops and monitor their welfare.
