Kashyap takes Major Ranking title

Indore, Dec 29 (UNI) Second-seed P Kashyap from Andhra Pradesh today claimed the men's singles title of the All India Senior Major Ranking Badminton Tournament here by vanquishing the Petroleum Sports Control Board's Abhinn Shyam Gupta 21-8, 22-20 in a 37-minute encounter.

The women's singles title went to top-seed Aditi Mutatkar, from Maharashtra, who humbled second-seed B R Meenakshi of PSCB 21-12, 27-25 in 45 minutes.

In the men's doubles final, S Thomas-Roopesh Kumar beat Jaseel P Ismail-Jose George 21-12, 21-16 in a 35-minute match.
