CMs to discuss police reforms
New Delhi, Dec 29 (UNI) The Union Home Ministry will interact with the Chief Ministers of states here tomorrow on the proposed police reforms aimed at making the force more efficient in dealing with emerging internal security and law and order problems and infusing a touch of humanity in the functioning of policemen.
"The meeting is mainly intended to get the response of the states," a Home Ministry official said here tonight.
Home Minister Shivraj Patil will inaugurate the meet and then sit through the session.
It was learnt that some of the states had expressed inability of their Chief Ministers to attend the meet. They would be represented by their respective Home Ministers.
