CAS-based Set Top Boxes to be more attractive

Mumbai, Dec 29: Creating a futuristic buzz in the digital space on the small screen, IndusInd Media&Communications Ltd (IMCL), a Hinduja TMT Company, is all set to make Conditional Access System based Set Top Boxes (STB) more attractive.

Its brand, IN DIGITAL - country's largest cable Multi System Operator (MSO) announced the special bonanza packages to be launched in CAS areas that include the outright STB purchase scheme with pay channel package free for first six months, rental STB schemes with super saver and optimiser packages and special outright scheme for STBs (for a limited period), a release said.

Around 80 FTA channels will be given an amount plus applicable taxes for all CAS area (minimum stipulated is 30 channels only).

The subscriber is free to choose pay channels on individual basis at the prescribed price of Rs 5 plus taxes for any other pay channel after choosing any package or bouquet.

He can just choose even individual pay channels only. Indigital STBs are also available on rental basis which include Rs 250 deposit and Rs 45 per month rental (plus taxes, as applicable) and Rs 999 deposit - and Rs 30 per month rental (plus taxes, as applicable).

The deposit is, however, refundable also with a deduction of 15 per cent per annum rate.
