Abducted doctor,driver rescued, 5 arrested

Koderma, Dec 29 (UNI) The district police today rescued Dr Sudeep along with his driver who were abducted on December 24 from Jainagar-Koderma road in this district.

Superintendent of Police, Manoj Kumar Mishra said the kidnappers released Dr Sudeep and his driver Nawab following pressure of the Jharkhand and Bihar police. Both were rescued from Rajouli Ghati area of Nawada district in Bihar.

Mr Mishra said the Allauddin gang of Jainagar was involved in the crime and five of the members had been arrested.

Meanwhile, Dr Sudeep, after being relesed, said he was kept at different locations and no ransom was paid.

''Police are investigating the case from every aspect,'' Mr Mishra said.
