VVIPs to visit temple town

Tirupati, Dec 28 (UNI) In view of 'Vaikunta Ekaadasi' and New Year Day, Andhra Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakur, Union Ministers and State Minister would visit to Tirupati and Tirumala on December 30 and January 1.

Official sources said here today that Mr Thakur accompanied by his wife would arrive at Renigunta airport from Hyderabad at 1225 hours by air and proceed to Tirumala by road, tomorrow.

Mr Thakur will inaugurate the T S R Guest House in Tirumala at 1600 hrs and stay overnight there. On 'Vaikunta Ekaadasi', he would offer worship at Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala.

Union Minister of state for Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Kumari Selja and Union Minister of State for Health Panabaka Lakshmi would also arrive at Renigunta airport from Hyderabad at 1325 hours on December 31 and immediately leave for Tirumala for a darshan of Lord Venkateswara.

On New Year day also they will offer worship at Tirumala.

On behalf of the state government, Andhra Pradesh minister Marappa will arrive at Renigunta airport on December 31 by air to receive Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, who is coming here on a two-day visit on December 31 and Jan 1.

Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and his ministerial colleagues would also visit Tirumala on 'Vaikunta Ekaadasi' day.
