Unclaimed briefcase causes stir

Kharagpur, Dec 28 (UNI) An unclaimed briefcase near the residence of Additional Superintendent of Police (Kharagpur) Vishal Garg created panic in this town in Midnapore district today.

Passers-by spotted a black briefcase in front of Mr Garg's residence around 1030 hours and suspected that it contained a bomb.

Police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.

Officials of the bomb disposal squad were called who opened the briefcase but found only clothes inside.

However, police was carrying out further investigation.
