Trader's teenaged son abducted
Muzaffarnagar, Dec 28 (UNI) The teenaged son of a trader was allegedly abducted by unidentified armed miscreants here this morning.
SSP Amarendra Sengar said that, Pankaj Jain (17) was travelling to Shamli from Panipat aboard a vehicle, when he was kidnapped.
The miscreants freed the driver and conductor in the jungle after tying their hands and feet and fled, taking Pankaj as captive.
The victim, whose father Subhash is a Meerut-based trader, is also the distributor of a bread company in western Uttar Pradesh.
When the incident occurred, Pankaj was ferrying a bread consignment to Shamli, the SSP informed.
Senior police officials have rushed to the spot and an operation launched to rescue Pankaj from his abductors.
Meanwhile, Lucknow Police has so far unable to trace a toddler -- Muzammil, who was abducted in the state capital on Tuesday night from Hussainabad area under Thakurganj police station limits.
