New website on river Cauvery

Tiruchirapalli, Dec 28 (UNI) In an effort to provide information about river Cauvery, also called as ''Mother Cauvery'' by the devout and the Delta region, the Tamil Nadu Public Works Department (PWD), Tiruchirapalli region has launched a new Website.

The new Website WWW.trycauvery.com would provide every detail about Cauvery river like its place of origin, its flow into the sea, the catchment areas, Reservoirs built across the river and the extent of irrigation of the river and its tributaries, Chief Engineer, PWD, Tiruchirapalli K Nallusamy told UNI, here today.

The website also contains other details like information on the Stanley Reservoir at Mettur, Jeddarpalayam Bed Regulator, the Kattalai Bed Regulator, the famous Upper Anaicut (Mukkombu) and the Grand Anaicut. A Photo Gallery has also been included in the website.
