Life term in dowry death case

Begusarai, Dec 28 (UNI) A local court today awarded life imprisonment to husband and father-in-law of a woman who was killed for failing to meet dowry demands.

Justice Vashisth Shukla of the fast track court sentenced the father-son duo to rigorous life imprisonment after they were found guilty of the crime.

According to the FIR, Ram Balak Shah (father-in-law) and Manoj Shah (husband) had killed Anupam Devi at Badha village in 2004 after her father failed to meet the dowry demands.
