IT raids at builders premises in Vapi and Silvasa

Surat, Dec 28 (UNI) Income Tax department sleuths seized unaccounted cash of Rs 25 lakh from various premises of real estate businessmen in a raid today.

The IT department has also seized documents indicating tax evasion of crores of rupees.

The raid was conducted at the premises of more than five real estate businessmen operating in Vapi and Silvasa, sources said.

The officials are also examining the bank lockers of the businessmen.

IT department has searched more than 25 places in Vapi and Union Territories as part of the raid, sources said.
