Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 28: Former Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) Gowda faction Kerala president A Neelalohitadasan Nadar today said a state level meet of the party would be held next month for finalising the state committee and state council members.

Addressing newspersons here, he said the meeting would be held on January 13 at Alappuzha for finalising the names to the sate committee and the state council.

Mr Nadar also said that the party's executive meeting and a general council would be held on January 28 at Bangalore.

Stressing that the Veerendra Kumar faction did not have any moral or political right to use the party symbol and flag, he said '' if there were any differences, it should have been discussed at the executive meeting rather than going for a parallel meeting.'' The notice for the executive committee was sent to all the members on December 8 and the rival faction had sent the notice for a meeting at Thiruvananthapuram on December 12, he said and added that all the members had enough time for raising their concerns.

He also pointed out that the JD(S) had authorised him to take further action against suspended JD(S) leader M P Veerendrakumar and other leaders who had attended the Thiruvananthapuram meeting.
