Gold eases, Silver improves slightly on fresh buying demand

Mumbai, Dec 28 (UNI) Gold eased by Rs five and Silver improved slightly on fresh buying demand with the white metal up by Rs five per kg on the Bombay Bullion Exchange today.

Silver fineness opened low at Rs 19,305 per kg on poor demand.

Later, it improved and closed at Rs 19,355 per kg with a gain of Rs five per kg from yesterday's close.

In London, the white metal was quoted at 12.72.79 per troy ounce against USD 12.70/12.72 per troy ounce in New York.

Similarly, standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) opened low at Rs 9,050 and Rs 9,100 per ten gm respectively on sluggish demand.

The yellow metal closed at Rs 9,050 and Rs 9,100 per ten grams respectvely from its last close.

In London, the yellow metal was at USD 628.100.10 per troy ounce as compared to USD 6248.00 per troy ounce in New York on Wednesday.
